In late fall, Gray Whales leave their feeding grounds in the Arctic and travel south to breed in the warm waters off Mexico. The Oregon Coast with expansive ocean views on elevated locations like coastal capes and headlands is a great place to spot these marine giants. Gray Whales are commonly sighted up and down the Oregon Coast during the annual winter migration, December 27-31.
