December 10 Tuba Christmas
Enjoy some rich sounds of the season at the annual Tuba Christmas concert, to be held at 2pm at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum. This free concert will feature the Astoria Tuba Quartet, who will perform a variety of seasonal selections, jazz arrangements and a polka or two at this family friendly event. December 10-March 11 2017 Memories of Megler
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the completion of the Astoria-Megler Bridge, "Memories of Megler' is a special exhibit by the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum. Utilizing historic photographs and first person memories, this exhibition captures Megler at the end of the ferry era and the beginning of contemporary auto access on Highway 101. December 11 Water Music Festival
Start your holiday season with a wonderful afternoon of familiar and traditional jazz vocals and instrumentals, 2-4pm. December 14 SALTY Talks
Discover the steps to cultivating a pollinator-friendly yard and practice skills for making your environment friendly to bees with naturalist, writer and beekeeper Julie Tennis as she presents "There's a buzz going around, let's keep it that way!" Topics will range from the background of native bees, describing differences in bee species living in the Long Beach area and how human intervention can play an important role to help prosper the survival of these pollinators.
