May 19 Annual Surf Perch Derby

Start with the Kiwanis breakfast of pancakes, ham, scrambled eggs, cranberry juice, coffee and milk (included with registration fee). Meals for non-fisherpeople are available. Fish your heart out, and weigh in each afternoon for great cash prizes! Both individuals and three-man teams can join the fun. 6am-3pm. $25-$30 registration fee. May 25-28 World's Longest Garage Sale

June 15-16 Doggie Olympic Games

June 16-17 31st Annual NW Garlic Festival

July 5 Long Beach Peninsula Beach Cleanup

The GrassRoots Garbage Gang is an all-volunteer, Washington State not-for-profit group that cleans up the Peninsula beaches in SW Washington. Hundreds of volunteers clean the Peninsula's 28-mile beach. Support comes from incredible volunteers, local businesses, City of Long Beach, Marine Resource Committe and Washington State Parks. July 14-15 Clamshell Railroad Days

Celebrate the history of the only railroad that ran with the tides, the IR&N, which served the peninsula from 1889-1930. Visitors can enjoy model railroad layouts from regional train clubs, historical presentations, vendors and bus tour. $5 admission Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum (360) 642-3446

July 20-22 PAA 5th Annual Summer Art Festival

A diverse group of Peninsula Arts Association artists provide a celebration of art with their creative wares. You'll find one-of-a-kind vacation mementos, beach home art and decor, beautiful jewelry and more. Everything is handcrafted or artist inspired. Free admission and parking at venue. August 3-4 6th Annual Jake the Alligator Man 75th Birthday Bash

September 7 12th Annual Slow Drag at the Port

Hot Rods line up on Howerton Way at the port of Ilwaco to compete in a coasting competition. Cars have approximately 15 feet in which to accelerate and then coast for 200 yards. September 8-9 Rod Run to the End of the World

This annual classic car show features thousands of automobiles, from Model As to the muscle cars of the 60s and 70s. The main events are held at Wilson Field in Ocean Park, but the cars will be seen all over the peninsula. Wilson Field (360) 665-3565
