Tall Ships
Through September 25
You've seen them in the movies, tall ships Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain will visit several Ports of call along the Pacific Northwest this season. The tall ships offer dockside tours, public sailing excursions and hands-on living history programs. Dressed in 18th century style clothing, the costumed crew is ready to tell tales of life on the high seas. The brig, Lady Washington embodies American maritime history of the late 1700s and early 1800s. She is a traditionally built replica that has appeared in several movies and television shows. Hawaiian Chieftain has a fascinating history originating in Hawaii. She's a swift topsail ketch that has sailed the Atlantic Ocean and visited Tahiti. June 17-18 NW Garlic Festival

June 17 Beach to Chowder Challenge

September 8 Slow Drag at the Port of Ilwaco
Fans line Howerton Way to watch this classic car competition where slow and steady wins the race. Vehicles accelerate about 15 feet before coasting the final 200 yards to the finish line; the car that stops closest to the line is the victor. Port of Ilwaco 360.642.2400
September 9-10 34th Annual Rod Run to the End of the World
