25th Annual Maritime Art Exhibition
Through September 30
Coos Art Museum (CAM) in Coos Bay, Oregon opens its 25th Annual Maritime Art Exhibition on July 14, 2018. The juried exhibition in the Maggie Karl Gallery displays maritime-themed artwork by major artists from across the United States and Canada. Works by the nations leading maritime artists are featured in a variety of media including, oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel and sculpture. Sanctioned by American Society of Marine Artists (ASMA), co-sponsored by the Oregon International Port of Coos Bay and funded by a grant from the Coquille Tribal Fund, the exhibition runs through September 29, 2018....[read more]

September 29 SOLVE Beach & Riverside Cleanup
Join thousands of volunteers to cleanup Oregon's beaches. SOLVE projects are community driven and focus on cleaning up and restoring natural areas and neighborhoods with hands-on work. Supplies and instructions are provided and all ages and abilities are encouraged to join in. To volunteer, register and view a list of project sites, call or visit online. October 19-21 19th Annual Yachats Village Mushroom Fest

December 8-16 Heceta Head Lightstation's Victorian Christamas
this annual open house event is on Saturdays and Sundays from 4-7pm. The Queen Anne style keeper's house is decorated for the holidays inside and out. March 23 2019 SOLVE Spring Beach Cleanup
Join SOLVE and thousands of volunteers from 10am-1pm to clean up litter and marine debris from the entire Oregon coast. Since 1986, this home-grown tradition of twice-yearly beach cleanups has benefited people and wildlife alike, supporting clean seas and healthy communities.
