Winter Whale Watching
December 27-January 1 2019
Starting in late fall, Gray Whales leave their feeding grounds in the Arctic and travel south to breed in the warm waters off Mexico. With its expansive ocean views on elevated locations like capes and headlands, the Oregon Coast is a great place to spot these marine giants. During peak winter migration, December 27 through January 1, 2019, the best whale watching locations along the coast are staffed by trained volunteers to answer questions and help you spot whales. Through December 16 Heceta Head Lightstation's Victorian Christmas
This annual open house event is on Saturdays and Sundays from 4-7pm. The Queen Anne style keeper's house is decorated for the holidays inside and out. March 23 2019 SOLVE Spring Beach Cleanup
Join SOLVE and thousands of volunteers from 10am-1pm to clean up litter and marine debris from the entire Oregon coast.
