Plein Air & More: See Cannon Beach Through the Eyes of the Artists
The Third Annual Plein Air & More Festival will feature the work of more than two dozen artists.
The spectacular natural beauty of Cannon Beach has inspired generations of artists, luring many of them out of their studios to capture the unique elements of this landscape "en plein air" or "in the open air." To celebrate this artistic style and the work of the artists, the Cannon Beach Gallery Group will present the 3rd Annual Plein Air & More festival. Scheduled for June 24-26, the event will include 24 artists represented by more than a dozen Cannon Beach's art galleries.
The featured artists will create art on location throughout the town and on the beach Friday and Saturday with their finished works showcased at gallery receptions on Saturday evening and at a group show at the Cannon Beach Chamber building on Sunday afternoon. The events will take place rain or shine.
Maps detailing the location of each artist will be available at all Gallery Group galleries and at the Chamber of Commerce. Visitors are encouraged to ask questions of the artists while they work, or simply observe.

Painting Coastal Color and Light Workshop
Join noted plein air artist Michael Orwick and learn how to bring life to your landscapes. Orwick is also inviting students to join him for informal sunrise and sunset "paint outs" at no additional charge. Open to painters of any level.
