Perfect Package

Add extra romance, tranquility or family activities to your vacation stay at the coast, and package up some fun!

Article Image Extras can be added to your ­vacation stay on the coast to fire up the romance, de-stress mind and body, or add more fun to a family getaway. Whether it's a weekend retreat or a week-long visit, adding a special package to accommodations will add to the memories and the fun!

The Looking Glass Inn offers a ­romantic Lincoln City getaway package for sweethearts. The package includes a two-night stay in an ocean view or ­bay view suite, either the Whirlpool Suite or the One-Bedroom Deluxe Suite, and a $75 dinner certificate for The Bay House (complete with a ride in the new Bay House stretch limo!) champagne, souvenir glasses and chocolates in your room. Contact the inn for availability and rates.

Hallmark Resorts in Newport and Cannon Beach offer a variety of ­romance packages that can be added to your stay. In Newport, a romance add-on ­package is available year round including ­breakfast for two, ­champagne or cider in your room, a free movie rental and a gift basket with ­chocolates, ­candles and luxurious bath ­accessories. In ­Cannon Beach, choose from rose ­petals to champagne and truffles, add-on ­packages range in price from $20-$49. If relaxation is key, you can add a couples' massage from the resort's luxurious spa for $200.

Arch Cape Inn offers two add-on relaxation packages. The ­Tranquility Package provides a choice of ­champagne, wine, cider or organic tea, plus fresh fruit or an ­aromatherapy bath amenity basket to further enjoy the soaking tub. This package can be added to your stay for $90. A Couples' Stress ­Reduction package priced at $350 includes a ­60-minute massage, champagne, wine or cider, and a ­gourmet breakfast for two that can be served in room.

Fire up the romance at ­Astoria's Cannery Pier Hotel with their ­Summer Romance Package available June through September. Add $149 to any regular room rate and you'll receive two side-by-side, 55-minute ­relaxation ­massages, plus chocolates and ­champagne (or cider) in your room upon arrival. Also available are river cruises on the Columbia, including the one-hour Sunset Cruise and the four-hour Columbia River Eco Tour cruise. ­Advance reservation is required.­

Families are also treated to ­special packages at the coast. Pelican Shores Inn in Lincoln City has a Family ­Getaway package that can be ­customized for ages six and under or seven and up. Receive day passes for the community center pool with a 14-foot slide. Free ­donuts, one-day DVD buffet and ­popcorn, $10 off coupon for glass ­blowing at Jennifer L.
