Astoria Library Hosts 10th Street Stage Outdoor Concert Series

The Astoria Library presents 10th Street Stage, a three-part outdoor concert series situated on the steps of the library at 450 10th Street in Astoria, Oregon.

Astoria Library's 2019 summer concert series kicks off with the "Crabgrass" quintet, Brownsmead Flats. Performance is at 6pm, Wednesday, June 19. Admission is free and all ages are welcome.

Brownsmead Flats is known for their fun-loving performances which they dubbed crabgrass, the style is folk and bluegrass with a maritime flavor that is heavy on vocal harmonies. The versatile quintet plays a variety of instruments: Dan Sutherland plays the hammered dulcimer, mandolin and fiddle. Ray Raihala picks banjo, guitar and mandolin. Robert Stevens is featured on guitar and banjo and John Fenton on bass and mandolin. Ned Heavenrich plays harmonica. The series will continue with the Brazilian groove group, Euphoria, at 6pm on Wednesday, July 17.
