A Star is Born! Seaside Aquarium Welcomes First Baby Seal Pup in 5 Years

Seaside Aquarium, Tiffany BootheThe latest addition to the Seaside Aquarium, a seal pup with its mother, Greta. Seaside Aquarium is excited to announce the latest addition to their marine team! A brand new baby seal pup was born the morning of June 7th, 2011. Pup and mother, Greta, are doing great! This is the first seal pup that the aquarium has had in five years. Mother Greta is 15 years old and, like all the seals that reside at the Seaside Aquarium, she was born at the Aquarium. The baby can be seen with its mom while they spend time bonding in the Pup Tank during the day. If you'd like to get a peek at the precious pup, the Seaside Aquarium is open daily at 9am. Oh and while you're there, you might as well feed the seals. It's tough work being so cute and entertaining, and a seal can get mighty hungry! Seaside Aquarium, 200 North Prom, (503) 738-6211
