It's Doggone Good Fun

Dog Friendly Cannon Beach hotels and businesses offer amenities for your pooch.

Article Image All those who vote for Cannon Beach, say "woof!" If your dog had a vote, Cannon Beach would be the obvious choice for a vacation destination, and for understandable reasons. Dogs are welcome on the beach off leash, if under immediate voice control. That means playing nice, staying close to their masters and not chasing birds or disturbing wildlife. Cannon Beach has frequently been recognized as one of the top travel destinations in the West for bringing your canine companion. Many hotels welcome pets, offer baskets of goodies upon arrival and feature doggy wash areas for cleanup after the sandy fun. Several restaurants also have pet friendly outdoor dining areas. There's even a store devoted to dogs where your pet is welcome to come and browse. Doggy bags are available in dispensers at many trash cans near beach access points to help make cleaning up after your pal easy.
