Quirky and casual, the Crazy Norwegian is a local icon famous for its fish and chips.

In a blink-and-you-might-miss-it blue and white shack, just off of Highway 101 in Port Orford, you'll find an Oregon Coast casual dining institution: Crazy Norwegian's Fish and Chips. To discover what made them a local icon, order up the Crazy's Famous Fish & Chips, Alaskan Pacific Cod fried until the light tempura batter is a crunchy golden brown. There are plenty of other options too. Oysters are simply grilled or fried to flaky perfection and served on the Oyster Po'Girl with bacon Spicy Pepper Slaw. Fish tacos feature the battered Pacific Cod with cheddar, salsa, chipotle and coleslaw. Although you most certainly won't have room for it, the rotating variety of homemade pies here are worth loosening a belt over. The Crazy Norwegian's Fish & Chips, Port Orford (541) 332-8601
