Diane Speakman demonstrates successful ways of grouping items from a collection into wall and tabletop displays.
The way you choose to display a collection can mean the difference between clutter and style. Our visit to the Gearhart home of Diane and Jay Speakman revealed visual interest, textures and surprises from every interior viewpoint. Diane is owner of the home decor and furnishings store Sesame & Lilies in Cannon Beach and her eye for cottage and coastal styles is evident in her own home. Collections of plates are grouped together, vintage tableware is contained in classic glasses and vignettes artfully combine natural elements including antlers, seashell and animal skulls with antiques and art.
