Horseback Riding in Cannon Beach.

Article Image Horseback rides on the beach have been a tradition in Cannon Beach for nearly 60 years at Sea Ranch Stables. The stables offer horseback rides between mid-May and Labor Day. Guided rides are led along historic Ecola Creek to Chapman Point, south to Haystack Rock, and at a minus low tide, night rides to Silver Point. Reservations must be made in person at the stables located in the rear of the Sea Ranch RV Park on the north side of Ecola Creek. The picturesque horse trail leads from the stables along the shore of the creek, crossing a series of small wooden bridges to reach the beach. Sea Ranch is Cannon Beach's oldest business, operating continuously since 1927. Sea Ranch offers RV and tent camping and in recent years has added cabins, a general store, espresso bar and a spa featuring massage, sauna and acupuncture services.
