Here are six fantastic breakfast spots that will get you charged up and ready for a fun day in Newport.

You can't carpe diem on an empty stomach. So before you go out to seize the day in Newport, get charged up at one of these six fantastic breakfast eateries. From home cooked perfection to pancake heaven, local favorites to oceanfront dining, everyone will find something to rave about at one of these Newport breakfast hot spots.

Georgie's Beachside Grill: Family friendly oceanfront dining awaits you at Georgie's. Kids will not only have their own special menu, but will love a chance to dig into the pirate's chest for a special prize. Specialties include Georgie's famous two plate chicken fried steak and breakfast sourdough cannonball stuffers, large round sourdough loaves with a choice of fillings.

Starfish Grill: Located in the Best Western Agate Beach Inn, the Starfish Grill serves up some enticing breakfast offerings. Chef Ryan Cornwell's personal favorites include homemade corned beef hash, marionberry cobbler (for breakfast!) and their ever-changing $4 breakfast special.

Pig 'N Pancake: This family friendly restaurant appeals to pancake lovers of all ages. Pig 'N Pancake is a favorite breakfast meeting place for local groups and businesses. For a real treat, order their Swedish pancakes with lingonberries

Newport Cafe: Dave See and family have elevated home cooking and baking to an art form. Bring a healthy appetite as portions are a step above generous. Perennial favorites include Dave's "Biggest Baddest Omelet in Lincoln County" and scrumptious homemade biscuits and gravy.

Bridges at Embarcadero: Weekend breakfast diners will love the harbor view while enjoying a wide assortment of breakfast specials. For a real treat, try Bridges at Embarcadero's incredible fried razor clams and eggs.
