When crab season gets underway on the Oregon Coast, area seafood festivals will celebrate this local culinary stable with crab feeds, crab picking contests, crab cook offs, crab derbies and regional wines.

Here is your chance to roll up your sleeves and indulge in all kinds of crustacean cuisine along the Oregon Coast.

February 11
33rd Annual Charleston Crab Feed
Old Charleston School House 64065 Seven Devils Road, Charleston
Fresh Dungeness Crab dinners, whole or half crabs at market price including side dishes. Proceeds help support the Charleston Visitor Center.

9th Annual Crab Krack

This crustacean commemoration and feast raises funds for renovations at the Lincoln County Historical Society's Pacific Maritime Heritage Center.

Newport Seafood & Wine Festival

Showcasing over 150 premier Northwest wines, culinary professionals and regional artisans. This festival draws nearly 25,000 visitors and tickets are available beginning in December.

Garibaldi Crab Races

This small town tradition is not to be missed. Human jockeys aren't allowed to touch the crawling crabs but bribery, sweet-talking and yelling are encouraged.
