Shanghaied in Astoria Announces 2017 Showdates

The hysterical melodrama, Shanghaied in Astoria, returns to the stage for a 33rd season at the Astor Street Opry Company Playhouse in historic Uniontown, Astoria.

Now in its 33rd season, Astor Street Opry Company's original, award-winning, vaudeville-style show "Shanghaied in Astoria" has become a summertime cult classic on stage in Astoria, Oregon. Audience participation gets things rolling. Cheer for the heroes and throw popcorn at the villains while you enjoy this fun and entertaining production about Astoria's infamous history and Scandinavian heritage. "Shanghaied in Astoria" is a well-told tale that simply makes locals and visitors alike laugh. The ASOC Playhouse has its own charm, looking like an old saloon; patrons can belly-up at the bar for a local brew during intermissions.

"Shanghaied in Astoria" opens July 7 and runs through September 9, 2017. Showtime is at 7pm, Thursday through Saturday. Sunday matinee's are at 2pm on July 16, August 6 and September 9.

Reservations are highly recommended. Tickets are available online, by phone and at the door one hour before curtain time. Group and family rates are available. Call or visit the website for further information.
