Hospitality is Inn

Step back in time and experience the ambience at the vintage Shelburne Inn where personal attention and hospitality are the keys to their success.

Article Image Spending a night at the Shelburne Inn in Seaview can magically transport guests back to a bygone era. It's not just the exquisite antique furnishings in the 1896 vintage inn that give it this ambience; rather, it's the care and attention provided by owners David Campiche and Laurie Anderson that take one back to a more genteel time. "We offer deep and sincere hospitality. We take care of our guests," said Campiche. The inn has 15 rooms or suites, all with full baths, as well as a casual, fine dining restaurant and pub. The Shelburne Inn is the oldest continuously operating hotel in Washington and Campiche and Anderson were "just kids" when they bought the inn in 1977. The restaurant had been leased for 25 years, and a year ago they assumed operation of the restaurant themselves, with their son Michael as sous chef. Anderson commented that their patrons "are delighted to have fine cuisine and service and yet be offered alternatives, like comfort food."
