Hood to Coast Relay Runners Cover 200 Miles of Oregon

From Mt. Hood, relay teams race to the finish line on the picturesque Oregon coast in Seaside.

Hood to Seaside, Oregon at the annual Hood to Coast Relay that raises funds for the American Cancer Society. Runners and walkers of all levels of experience have participated in the annual Hood to Coast Relay since 1982, and 2012 marks the 31st annual relay race founded by avid marathoner, Bob Foote. It began with only eight teams but has grown to 1250 teams taking 4100 volunteers to assist the 15,000 runners on their journey. An awards ceremony and entertainment follow the race at the finish line in Seaside.
