Antique Arrivals at Sesame and Lilies in Cannon Beach

Article ImageEuropean antique horse pull toy, circa 1860. Several antiques have arrived at Sesame and Lilies in Cannon Beach, Oregon, include antique baskets and an antique pull toy. The antique toy horse, believed to be from Belgium circa 1860, is a child's pull toy. Made from calf hide stretched over carved wood and hand stitched, the craftsmanship and materials indicate the toy would have been made for a wealthy family, possibly royalty. The horse stands 27 inches tall and is priced at $1900. From the Champagne province in northeastern France come antique baskets used for carrying the grapes that made the champagne. The baskets are approximately 100 years old and bear the remnants of old paint and signs of hard work. These baskets are 27 inches in height and priced at $900.
