At Beach Books in Seaside you can have lunch with guest authors this March, April and May. Erica Bauermeister is the featured author on March 9 and will discuss her books The School of Essential Ingredients, which chronicles the lives of students at Lillian's Restaurant who are seeking recipes for something beyond cooking and The Joy for Beginners, the story of Kate who, in celebration of cancer recovery, will do the one thing that scares her the most. On April 6 have lunch with Kristina McMorris, the author of Bridge of Scarlet Leaves, the story of a Caucasian woman who marries a Japanese-American on the eve of Pearl Harbor and decides to join the family in the internment camp. The month of May will feature lunch with Sophia Van Buren, author of Illumination, her true journey from suburban mom to strong independent woman. Van Buren has a lot to tell about being a non-custodial mother and about finding your inner strength and spirit. All lunches begin at noon and a fee of $20 includes a catered lunch, a copy of the author's book and the opportunity to visit with the author. The date of the May luncheon is yet to be determined.
