The 17th Annual Newport Paper Arts Festival, April 20-22, will feature three days of innovative and informative one-day workshops celebrating papermaking, surface embellishment, bookmaking, bindings, articles made of paper and techniques for working with paper and fibers.
Specifics on festival classes and workshops will be announced soon. Previous festival workshops have included various methods of papermaking, paper casting, silk paper, paste papers and paper jewelry. There are sure to be instructions on book binding, stamp arts, etching and mixed media embellishments, to name a few.
