New Bronze, Steel and Mixed Media Works at Bronze Coast Gallery in Cannon Beach

Article ImageLucy at Large by sculptor David Crawford at Bronze Coast Gallery in Cannon Beach, Oregon. Bronze Coast Gallery in Cannon Beach, Oregon is featuring several new works of art in a variety of mediums from several gallery artists. New sculptures include Lucy at Large, by Oregon sculptor David Crawford, depicting a Dachshund on stilts inspired by a dog in New York City who helped her owner heal after the attacks of 9/11. Neptune is a limited edition bronze sea lion by wildlife artist Joshua Tobey that was inspired by the artist's visits to the Oregon coast. A new dimensional steel art piece titled Script by artist Peter Skidd was fashioned through a process of cutting, grinding, welding and painting acrylic on steel. Sculptor Melissa Cooper also made several small birds for the gallery including a bluebird, a wren and a vireo.

New paintings include an Oregon lighthouse by mixed-media artist Cary Henrie, created at the request of Bronze Coast Gallery. Mark Gatewood created several new paintings on display at the gallery. Gatewood forms his unique compositions by layering pigmented resin castings onto curved wooden frames using scrapers and palette knives.
