Vintage Helsinki Pattern by Marimekko Offered at Finn Ware in Astoria

Inspired by Helsinki's Art Nouveau buildings, the Helsinki print from 1952 begins Marimekko's yearlong celebration of World Design Capital Helsinki 2012. The Marimekko Helsinki Skatta Blue Bag has a magnetic close, interior zipper pouch and an 18.5-inch cross-body strap. Made of 100 percent cotton, the bag is machine washable and priced at $129. The eight-ounce Marimekko Helsinki mugs are made of vitreous porcelain and available in blue and lime green. They are dishwasher and microwave safe and priced at $22 each.
