Conversation in Flight Study by Sheila Evans whose pastel art will be on display in August at Northwest By Northwest Gallery in Cannon Beach, Oregon.
Northwest By Northwest Gallery in Cannon Beach, Oregon has work by several notable artists featured during the months of June, July and August. Work by pastel artist Sheila Evans will be on display during the month of June. She uses soft pastel on archival paper creating iridescent effects that emerge as she builds layer upon layer, alternating cool and warm tones. Evan's work appears on permanent display at the Saint Aulaye's Pastel Salon International in France.
Christopher Burkett will display a collection of fine art color landscape photography during the month of July. The Washington Post commented on Burkett's work saying, "Burkett's photographs catch in meticulous detail the magical convergence of light, form and color that only nature commands. The pictures are a tribute to his unflagging energy, keen eye and absolutely brilliant ability."
Georgia Gerber is one of several featured August artists in an exhibit called "Private Garden to Public Art." In 2010, Gerber won the Public Choice Vote of Sculpture Without Walls for Tufted Puffins. Wayne Chabre is the Public Choice Vote Winner of 2007 for A Delicate Balance. Alisa Looney is the 2009 Public Choice Vote Winner for her sculpture Contact.
