Albatross Soars in Newly Expanded Space

After months of planning and construction, the expansion at Albatross & Co. in Astoria is finally open, allowing chef and owner Eric Bechard to offer additional menu items, more seating (including outdoors) and a considerably expanded beer list. The original bar and restaurant outgrew its space shortly after it opened in November 2013, but Bechard took his time with the addition. Each detail has been meticulously thought through, from the liquor shelves and bar top were crafted from the same giant log to the preparation of numerous seafood offerings, such as mussels, oysters on the half shell and fresh Dungeness Crab.
