Baked Alaska Opens Annex

Baked Alaska Restaurant in Astoria, Oregon has launched a one-of-a-kind event space with demonstration kitchen in the neighboring building. Chef Christopher Holen plans to host an annual dining club in the Annex, with six meals in the works for the first year. Holen is arranging other unconventional culinary experiences as well, such as seafood and wine tours and "chef-cations" for international cooks. The location, which can be rented for private functions, has a maximum capacity of 49 people, but that number increases to about 120 with the outdoor deck, which can be tented.
