The Chocolate Café in Cannon Beach, Oregon is offering a glimpse into the luscious world of chocolate during the Savor Cannon Beach Wine & Culinary Festival March 8-10.
On Friday, March 9 from 11-11:45am, the Chocolate Cafe offers a Chocolate 101 class. This is a free seminar with an overview of the world of chocolate. You'll learn about the many varieties and taste chocolate from around the world. This seminar is offered again on Sunday, March 11 from 12-12:45pm.
On Saturday, the Chocolate Cafe will offer two chocolate samplings: a "Truffle Tour" featuring seven different truffles and a "Chocolate from Around the World Tour" featuring pure chocolates from South America, the Caribbean, Africa, Madagascar and Indonesia/New Guinea. This tasting is $3 per person or $5 per couple.
On Sunday, March 11 from 10am-Noon the café will present a selection of chocolates in the festival's Sparkling Wine and Chocolate tasting event. Festival participants will sample three Northwest sparkling wines and an assortment of chocolates.
