Transcend, acrylic painting on aluminum by artist Linda Petersen at DragonFire Gallery

DragonFire Gallery in Cannon Beach is now featuring the paintings of Manzanita artist Linda Petersen. Recently moving from the mountains of central Oregon to the north coast, the artist took on a different creative approach in rendering landscapes. Petersen creates rich color fields of sky, land and sea that blend realism with touches of the abstract. Working with acrylics on aluminum, Petersen's brushwork allows the substrate to show through, giving these paintings a distinctive luminosity.
