Waves of Grain Bakery Praised on National Public Radio

Article Image Waves of Grain Bakery in Cannon Beach was featured on NPR's The Splendid Table radio program. Well-known traveling food critics, Jane and Michael Stern, authors of 500 Things to Eat Before It's Too Late, are culinary epicureans who travel all over the country discovering the best places to eat. Michael Stern says Waves of Grain Bakery has "incredibly good pastries...some of the most delicious breads, muffins [and] sticky buns." Jane Stern explains how an espresso and homemade creamy biscuit for breakfast, accompanied by the sunrise over Haystack Rock, is for her, an ethereal experience. Jason and Hillary Fargo are the owners and bakers at Waves of Grain. Their family grows the grain they use in their fresh-baked goods. Everything is made from scratch using as many quality local, fresh, organic and fair-trade products available. Waves of Grain Bakery, Cannon Beach (503) 436-9600
